When to use this spread
For two real, balanced options: stay or leave, two jobs, move home or wait. One card defines the heart of the choice, then three cards explore each path.
Why this spread
The difference between Two Paths and the Decision spread is one card, the "heart of the decision", and it is usually the one that changes the question. Many stay-or-leave dilemmas are not about the two places at all but about something the asker is looking for, and the center card surfaces it before you compare. The three cards per path then have context.
What sets it apart
Unlike Decision Reading, the central “heart of the decision” card can reveal that the real question is different from the one first asked.
Versions range from five to seven cards; seven creates a clean, balanced comparison.
Example questions
Stay in this job or accept the new offer?
Move now or wait another year?
