The story behind AGAT

Where Spirituality, Inner Life and Technology Meet

My name is Shachar Shapira. For as long as I can remember, two great passions have accompanied me: a powerful attraction to spirituality and mysticism, and a love of computers and technology. My connection to the spiritual world began in childhood, in a home where cards, dreams and rituals were a natural part of life. At the same time, I have worked with computers and in high tech for 28 years — it is my profession, my livelihood and one of the great loves of my life.

At 35, following a divorce and a profound personal crisis, my connection to the spiritual world became a journey in its own right. For about three years I underwent intensive psychological therapy while deepening my study of spirituality, healing practices and tarot.

AGAT was born where these two worlds meet — the exploration of the psyche and symbols on one side, and technological thinking on the other.

Knowledge built over many years

I have been reading tarot cards for about 20 years. During that time I completed approximately four formal tarot courses, alongside ongoing study through books, teachers and, above all, hundreds of hours of readings, practice and exploration.

I also studied Reiki, Access Bars, crystal healing and other energy-healing methods. Each offered a different way to look at the inner world, but tarot became an especially important tool for me because it can turn feelings, fears and hidden patterns into symbols we can see, understand and explore.

“The role of the cards is not to tell the future, but to illuminate the path”

The cards do not determine fate

AGAT is not based on the idea that the future has already been written or that we have no power to influence it. I see the cards as a reflection of our inner world and of the reality we create from within it.

Patterns outside our awareness can repeat throughout our lives — in relationships, at work and in the decisions we make. Someone we experience as controlling, for example, may awaken an old difficulty with expressing ourselves or setting boundaries. Even if we leave that person behind, the same pattern may reappear elsewhere through someone new.

This is where shadow work begins: not only asking what will happen, but understanding what an external situation awakens within us, what it asks us to see and what we can change. The cards may reveal a possible future being shaped by our current patterns — and, just as importantly, the inner work that can create a different direction.

Where intuition meets artificial intelligence

The artificial intelligence behind AGAT is not a fortune-teller, nor does it replace intuition or personal choice.

Technology makes it possible to connect the question being asked with the meaning of each card, its position in the spread and its relationship to the other cards. The knowledge and approach developed over many years give the system the foundation for a clear, sensitive and thoughtful reading.

The purpose is not to decide what will happen for you. It is to help you see your situation from another perspective, recognize the forces at work within you and choose your next step with greater awareness.

What an interpretation can and cannot do

I see tarot as a tool for reflection, not a way to fix fate. A thoughtful interpretation can help you notice a pattern, name a tension that is already present, connect different parts of a situation and see where choice is still available. It may offer a new question or an angle you had not considered, but it cannot know what will happen or promise an outcome.

AGAT is not a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or mental-health professional. When you need diagnosis, protection, treatment or professional guidance, please turn to someone qualified to provide it. In Israel, emotional support is available from ERAN at 1201. In an emergency, contact Magen David Adom at 101 or the police at 100. A reading can accompany reflection, but it should not carry a responsibility that does not belong to it.

Why AGAT?

Agate is a family of stones with many colors, textures and qualities — from the gentle Blue Lace Agate to the powerful Fire Agate. To me, it represents a single source that can take many forms.

Agat is also the name of my youngest daughter, who was born on July 1 and already felt like a strong presence while still in the womb. The number 1 represents source, beginnings, independence and the ability to bring an idea into reality.

AGAT therefore became the natural name for a place that brings different worlds together — spirituality and psychology, intuition and knowledge, ancient tradition and new technology.

Your privacy

Your reading is not shown to other users. If you open a reading without creating an account, it is displayed to you but is not kept in a personal reading history. If you register, you can return to readings saved in your account and revisit them when it suits you. This lets you choose between a quick reading without an account and a personal space where earlier readings remain available.

I also want to describe the limits plainly: questions and readings are generally retained to help improve the system. Share the context the reading needs without adding identifying information that is not necessary. Full names, addresses, identification numbers or personal details about somebody else are usually not needed for the cards to address the subject.

Privacy also depends on how a question is written. You can describe a relationship, workplace or decision without exposing details that do not contribute to understanding it. The full explanation of how information is handled, retained and used is available in AGAT’s privacy policy.
